Body: light to medium Bodied
Taste: low acidity, light fruit, floral
Pinot Gris or Pinot Grigio is a white varietal with unusually dark skin ranging from white to rose in color. Pinot Grigio is popular in Northern Italy and has come into vogue in California, Oregon, New Zealand and Australia, mostly because it is easy to grow, quick to bring to market, and as such can be sold at an attractively low price.
Light, crisp, with very subtle notes that are generally floral or melon in flavor. The mostly neutral flavor of Pinot Grigio makes it an easy match for most foods and attractive as an aperitif.
A work-horse white wine that pairs well with a wide variety of foods or can be served as an aperitif.
